Two new home developments in Istanbul are showcasing the city’s popularity with both domestic and international property investors. The Yalova Konutlan project, located just outside the center of Istanbul, is going strong with new home sales. Turkish company Orhanlı İnşaat plans to complete the construction of a new housing complex in Istanbul’s Kurtköy district by the end of 2008.

The new homes in the Kurtköy district have a range of options for buyers, from studio units to duplexes. The 54 square meter studios begin at $56,000, while the largest, a 167 square meter duplex home, is $225,000. The housing complex is near the Pendik Marina, Sabancı University, Okan University and Koç High School, and it is located five kilometers from Sabiha Gökçen Airport, 35 kilometers from the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge and 30 kilometers from the Bosporus Bridge.

The Yalova Konutlan project has 154 houses ranging in size from 95 square meters to 125 square meters. These houses are equipped with steel exterior door, American panel interior doors, laminate parquet, and ceramic floor tile in the kitchen and bathroom. In addition, the homes are also equipped with kitchen cabinets and counters, intercom system, and satellite system.

Istanbul was recently named the best place for investing in property by the Urban Land Institute and PricewaterhouseCoopers. These two developments are just 2 of the many new and existing properties that are making this city an attractive place to invest.
