Just north of Limon on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica is where the new luxury resort of IslaMoin is set to rise. This destination resort will have residences, a marina, luxury hotel and all the amenities to go along with everything else. The location for Isla Moin is surrounded by national parks and rainforests, and the property itself provides dramatic views of the Caribbean and waterfront.
IslaMoin will cover over 200 acres of land and have 8,200 feet of beachfront. There are 600 resort condominium units planned, plus 100 beach and waterfront villas and another area for more waterfront estate homes. The gated community will have 24-hour security for all residents, as well as a luxury hotel. There are plans for 380 marina slips that will be able to handle yachts and even mega-yachts up to 250 feet.
The Resort Residences are four floor buildings of condominiums that range in size from one bedroom units that are approximately 913 square feet with 129 square feet of terraces to four bedroom units that are approximately 2,918 square feet with 879 feet of terraces. The beach villas are lovely and quaint two-story townhomes that each have 2,758 square feet and have 215 square feet of terraces. Each terrace is complemented with summer kitchens that will enhance the outdoor living area. All units are located on the beach and all units have three spacious bedrooms.
Approximately 100 Home Sites are available with canal frontage and there are 6 dry lot Home Sites available. Each of the lots has 120 feet on the water and is designed to provide each homeowner with a boat slip that will accommodate vessels with up to a 12 foot draft. Larger vessels will be accommodated at IslaMoin’s Marina.
In the pre-construction phase, units are priced between $175,000 and $2 million. Marina slips range from $100,000 for a 40-foot slot to $1.5 million for a 250-foot parking spot
IslaMoin is located outside of the City of Limon. To get there, you can fly to the Limon Domestic Airport on regular daily flights offered by Nature Air and Sansa Airlines. The flight takes approximately thirty minutes. From San Jose International Airport you can rent a car and drive to IslaMoin which is a two and one-half hour drive from San Jose and just minutes from the City of Limon. The City of Limon has a seaport that is home to numerous cruise lines.
