One of the UK’s biggest Hollywood
stars has splashed out $2.15 million (£1.3 million) on a stunning eco-home in
California. Emily Blunt, star of The Five
Year Engagement
and Looper has
bought the property in the sought-after town of Ojai with husband John
Krasinski.

Young Victoria star buys £1.3 million eco mansion

The British star and her husband
Krasinski, star of Big Miracle and
the American Office, have bought a
4,100-square-foot home in the town of Ojai, between Santa Barbara and Los
Angeles. Krasinski sold his West Hollywood home in 2011 for a reported $880,000
(£550,000).

The home features giant solar
panels dotted around outside to provide electricity and is built on the site of
a former guesthouse, the historic Ojai Foothills Hotel.

The mansion has four bedrooms,
four bathrooms, a powder room and a swimming pool. It boasts high ceilings,
hardwood floors, four fireplaces and a private guest wing.

The property was described by the
real estate agent as: ‘A stunning property in the foothills of Ojai rich in
history, easy trail access, Eco friendly and adorned with modern amenities.’

The couple also have the option
of purchasing the adjacent 8 acres abutting the Los Padres National Forest.
