Former tennis star Anna
Kournikova has proved that she also has a good head for property after selling
her Miami estate for a healthy profit.
The sportswoman turned fitness coach has just sold her home for a cool
$7.4million (ã4.7 million) making a decent profit in the process.
The 30 year old star, who is in a
long term relationship with singer Enrique Iglesias, has sold her luxury
waterfront home in the American city after living there since 2000.
Luxury waterfront property has celebrity neighbours
Kournikova paid $5million (ã3.15
million) for the luxurious waterfront home in 2000 at the height of her
sporting career. The property is
situated on Miami Beach’s prestigious Sunset Island which is a gated community.
The mansion is 6,630 square feet
and boasts seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms. It also comes with 150 feet of frontage on the Intracoastal
Waterway and a large dock to house a boat.
The property also features floor
to ceiling windows with views of the water as well as high ceilings and exposed
beams. The estate also includes a two-story
guesthouse for visitors, a coral deck pool and jacuzzi to cool off in and an
outdoor deck area with extensive landscaping.
The new owner will become neighbours
with P.Diddy, Gloria Estefan, Shaquille O’Neal, and Alex Rodriguez who all live
nearby.
Couple looking to build new home
According to Miami-Dade County
records, the 30 year old former tennis ace was asking $9.4 million but settled
on the lower amount. Most recently
seen as a coach in the American series The
Biggest Loser, Kournikova has been with long term partner Enrique Iglesias
for ten years, although the couple have no plans to get married.
Following the sale of
Kournikovaââ¬â¢s estate, the couple are apparently working on the construction of a
new home for them to live in together.
