The Sun newspaper reports that singer Amy Winehouse dream home purchase has been delayed by rising costs owing to extensive renovations that will be required before she could move in.
The multi millionaire who has sold millions of albums worldwide, has reportedly put in a £2.5 million offer and is waiting to exchange, but housing costs keep rising.
A source told The Sun: “Her house needs top to bottom renovations, costing thousands of pounds so she has to be careful with the budget.”
Until she does move, Winehouse is said to be renting a flat in Marylebone, west London. Her father Mitch and manager Ray are said to have visited her there earlier this week.
Earlier this month it was reported that Amy was spending a fortune living at a 5 star London Hotel. Reports in the Metro stated that London’s Langham Hotel had cost her a cool £7,000 per night.
