British television viewers are being treated to a glimpse of Australian life for couples who are making the move from Britain to Australia. Channel 4 popular overseas property show concentrates on immigrating Brits in a new series “A Place in the Sun Down Under”
A Place In The Sun property show hosted by Amanda Lamb helps three families relocate ‘down under’ and will show the ups and downs of the couples seeking a new life in Australia.
The TV programme highlighted the fact that moving to Australia for the British has never been so popular with a third of all immigration being made to the sunnier shores of Australia
Amanda Lambs tour of Australia sees visits to vineyards in the south, beaches on the west coast and checks out city life in Sydney, viewing different styles of houses with price tags from the affordable to the extravagant.
The show will follow couples starting a new life in Sydney, Perth Melbourne.The first programme saw the Kate and Alex Edwards and family who wanted to swap their life in Wrexham England for Melbourne. Amazingly the couple made the decision to move to Australia after a single visit there on a holiday.
The couple who had £250,000 budget for a new home selected Melbourne for its culture, beaches and outdoor way of life. Melbourne attracts some 72,000 new residents per year and is the most popular place for the British to move too.
