Homes

are once again part of an award-winning tourism industry, after
the country picked up several accolades at the World Travel Awards this month.

The World Travel Awards Caribbean & Americas were
dominated by Jamaica last week as the country won multiple prestigious awards.
The ceremony, which took place in Montego Bay, crowned Jamaica Caribbean’s
Leading Destination for the sixth year in a row, while the country’s landscape
was labelled Caribbean’s Leading beach Destination and Caribbean’s Leading
Cruise Port.

Unsurprisingly, the Jamaican Tourist Board also won Leading
Tourist Board, on an evening regarded to pay Jamaica back for all of its hard
work in promoting the destination to overseas visitors.

Tourism Minister
Bartlett told Incentive Travel: “As the leaders of the sector, we are humbled
to be rewarded by the global tourism community for the energy and hard work
which the team has done over the past year.”

The success is good news for the Jamaican economy, which
relies upon tourism to power the country’s financial growth. Investors will be
pleased to see recognition awarded to resorts and developments around the
country, and homes

can expect a strong boost in interest from foreign buyers.

Bartlett added: “Jamaica remains a very attractive
destination and the country’s performance and that of our resorts and partners
at these awards have proven once again that our country will continue to see
good results in terms of arrivals, guest satisfaction and indeed new
developments.”
