Sibenik, Croatia to Get New Marina and Yacht Club

Island Global Yachting and Nautical Center Prgin (NCP) have finalized a joint-venture agreement for a new and expanded marina in Sibenik, Croatia. The existing marina will be expanded from 350 slips to include 65 megayacht berths. The new and existing facilities will comprise the new Mandalina Marina and Yacht Club. The facility will be managed by Island Global Yachting, which is based in Florida, and will complement the existing facilities and shipyard that NCP currently operate.

 

This will be one of the most complete and full-service nautical destinations along the DalmatianCoast of Croatia. The new Mandalina Marina and Yacht Club, as well as the existing NCP shipyard, will offer 24-hour assistance and technical services to yachts and their operators. There is also a sailing school operated by NCP for those who are interested in learning more or brushing up on their skills as well as a charter fleet. An on-site gas station and grocery allow for provisioning of all size boats. A future marina village is in the plans as well with resort accommodations and residential developments.

 

The town of Sibenik is on Croatia’s DalmationCoast and is near to many of the famous islands and parks that make this part of the world one of the best for sailing. Sibenik is one of the country’s oldest towns and is a home to Croatian culture and art. With summer coming, it’s a great time to make plans to visit this area.
