One of Hollywoodââ¬â¢s leading A-list couples, Russell Brand and Katy Perry, have decided to sell their luxury home in Los Angeles. The couple are rumoured to be moving to their New York apartment in order to spend more time together.
The stunning American property is on the market for just over $3 million.
Brandââ¬â¢s luxury property for sale
Having lived in the luxury property for just two years, the 1922 Mediterranean style property is on the market for US$3.395 million (ã2.1 million). The four bedroom property has views over Los Angeles, a swimming pool and a garage for three cars.
It is believed that the couple will move to their $2.7 million New York apartment.
Ms Perry said: ââ¬ÅMy husband is my number one priority. We have an amazing relationship. It’s important that I’m not always rushing around everywhere too much. I have to take the time to live life and have experiences.ââ¬Â
Married couple to spend more time together
The pair first met in 2008 during the filming of the successful comedy film Get Him To The Greek. They met again at the MTV Music Awards in September 2009 when they began dating. The couple then bought the luxury LA property and got married in India in October 2010.
The wedding took place near the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary in Rajasthan, India and was a traditional Hindu ceremony.
Brand has often been a controversial figure and was forced to resign from the BBC in 2008 after making a series of prank telephone calls to British actor Andrew Sachs. The comedian is currently in Miami filming his next movie Rock of Ages with co-stars Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Alec Baldwin whilst Perry is in New Zealand on her California Dreams world tour.
