Overseas property website Homesgofast.com is now ranked 16th in the world as for search engine saturation for terms relating to international real estate. The last 12 months have seen the UK  based portal rise to 16th place in the study conducted by Global Edge which produces the top 50 rankings.

PropertyIndex.com breaks into the top 20 for the first time, a feat it should arguably have achieved earlier given the amount of money the portal has spent on marketing in recent years.

The most notable new entrant is Zoopla which has (to a large extent) assumed the rankings of the sites it bought on its recent acquisition spree, most notably Propertyfinder.com and Hotproperty.co.uk. Given its strength and scale (according to one recent ComScore data Zoopla is the second largest stand-alone portal brand in the UK market.  The Digital Property Group is the second largest network) it is likely it will climb into the top ten in the near future.

The data is produced by industry experts at Global Edge the rankings demonstrates how portals rank on Google on aggregate across more than 500 popular overseas property destinations

Many UK portals have seen significant rises in traffic in the last few months as investors and life style buyers return to the overseas property market. The Primelocation International Search Index recorded over 1.8 million foreign property searches in December and an annual increase of over 200%. Spain and Turkey saw the highest monthly rises of 48% and 36% respectively.

UK-based site Rightmove reported 25 million hits on Jan. 4, the greatest number of visitors the site has seen in one day. About ten other sites, like The Move Channel, Mondinion, HolProp, PropertyShowrooms and Property Abroad also saw increases over this time last year. Traffic was up by 38% at Property Abroad; 32% at The Move Channel in the first week of January alone.
