European homes – the next frontier'

Europe’s property sector is the new investment ‘frontier’, leading international experts have claimed.

With opportunities remaining in eastern and western Europe despite an extended period of growth in the last decade, ING Real Estate’s European research and strategy managing director Ian Whittock, says there are gains to be made.

In an interview with the Australian, Mr Whittock made clear the potential within the European market, stressing eager investors could capitalise.

Speaking at Australia’s Capital Market Leaders Summit, he advised investors not to delay.

“If you hesitate and get in late you could be left holding the baby,” he warned.

In the UK alone the last eight years have seen house prices increase by 125 per cent according to the National Housing Federation, while eastern Europe has opened up a host of new opportunities.
