London 10/11/09- Boxing champion David Haye and his trainer Adam Booth use the warmth of the Cypriot sun to overcome the British weather for a consistent training regime. In fact the pair love the destination so much that they both own villas in Northern Cyprus
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have adopted Haye as there champion who started training in the region some 2 years ago. In the past Haye has been seen with a small flag of the Republic on his shorts despite the controversy between North and South Cyprus.
Northern Cyprus has become a second home for both boxer and trainer alike and reports state that they own a state of the art gym there used to prepare Haye for his heavy weight bouts.
Meanwhile the Cypriot problem continues with news that the Cypriot property issue was the focus of a recent meeting President Demetris Christofias and Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat, in the context of the second round of UN-led talks, aimed at finding a mutually acceptable solution to the Cyprus problem.
Speaking to the press after the meeting,, Special Adviser of the UN Secretary-General Alexander Downer said that “the leaders mainly met in a tete-a-tete session with the representatives”.
“They focused their attention on the property question and the two representatives and their teams are going to come together here on Thursday for further discussions about the property question
