The new Altinkum Didim Marina is set to open in May, 2009 and will provide even more reasons for property investors to look at this beautiful area of Turkey. Located to the west of the popular resort town of Altinkum, the new marina will have more than 600 berths for yachts and will also offer ferry links to nearby Greek islands.

The Didim region of Turkey is located along the southern Aegean coastline of the country and has been one of the most popular areas in recent years for international holiday travelers and property investors in the country. The marina will cover nearly 300,000 square meters of land between Third Beach and Parlementerler and will be the largest marina in the southern Aegean. It will also have a heliport, customs, a high-end shopping area and restaurants. There are plans for a golf course nearby, which is schedule to be completed in 2013.

The new marina will bring even more interest to this area from international property investors as well as holiday travelers. Currently, this area of Turkey has many affordable properties, with a 2-bedroom apartment available for less than £50,000 in some places. German and UK residents are the most interested in this area and have purchased a large number of second homes and investment properties. With increased interest driven by the marina and new amenities, prices are expected to rise in the coming years.
