The North Shore News has recently brought global property investors’
attention to a $40 million (£25.8 million) Vancouver property – officially the
most expensive residential property listing in Canada.

However, there may be one snag if
you’re planning to snap up the luxury property: it hasn’t actually been built
yet.

Luxury estate the most expensive property in Canada

The proposed 21,000 square foot
mansion is planned for a 5.4 acre plot near the top of 21st Street
in West Vancouver.  The property
has been dubbed Camelot Estate by property professionals and buyers can snap up
the plot and have the proposed estate built for a cool $39.9 million.

Estate agent Charles Bilash said:
“If you’re the buyer looking for that ultimate luxury estate, it caters to
you.  If you’re a buyer as a
developer looking to make an ultimate neighbourhood – meaning a subdivision –
well, that’s also in the process.”

Three property estate already attracting interest

At present, the plot is home to a
two smaller homes and a barn.  The
plans would see these replaced with a six bedroom house including a cinema,
massage room, gym, billiards room, wine cellar, outdoor kitchen, infinity
swimming pool, hot tub, indoor and outdoor ponds, three waterfalls, an outdoor
tennis court and putting greens.
There would also be a 15 car garage.

The plans include a second 7,000
square foot guest house with four en suite bedrooms, a separate infinity pool
and three car garage.  A third
property will include maid’s quarters and an office including boardroom and
bar.

The agents report that the
property has already had several serious offers, mostly from mainland China.

Mr Bilash continued: “Originally,
I have to say we were focused more on the U.S. marketplace…. but slowly we
started seeing more and more the level of interest, the showings and the offers
coming from the opposite side of the world.”
