It is situated in the pretty hamlet of Fontanar which is steeped in history and has a church, a bread van and a local bar. The larger town of Pozo Alcón is around 10 mins drive away and has all of the usual amenities including a weekly market and swimming pool open during the summer months.

It is situated around 40 minutes drive / 38km from Lake Negratin which has beach areas and around 1h45 by car from the coast.
