X Factor judge buys sprawling £5.3 million LA home

US X Factor judge and pop icon Britney Spears has splashed out on an
$8.5 million (£5.3 million) luxury LA home. The 30 year old is moving further
away from Hollywood with the purchase of the huge five bedroom mansion in the
suburb of Thousand Oaks.

And, according to new documents,
the star has plenty of spare cash even after the purchase of her new home. Keep

30 year old pop star worth over £20 million

Spears has bought the 8,456
square foot home and will live with her fiancé Jason Trawick and her two sons. This
comes after the star recently signed a lucrative contract with Simon Cowell to
appear as a guest judge on the TV talent show X Factor.

Built in 2010, the property
boasts five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, an infinity pool, wine cellar, home
theatre and fireplace. The Daily Mail
reports that ‘the home is quintessentially California, with indoor-outdoor
living spaces.’ It is around 15 miles from Spears’ Calabasas home, which cost
her a reported $19,000 (£11,870) a month.

Documents filed by her
conservatorship and reported by E! News show that Spears has an estimated worth
of $32.4million (£20.2 million). And, these figures do not take account of her
reported $15million (£9.4 million) contract to star on the X Factor, nor the cash windfall she is due to receive after taking
part in a money-spinning tour that earned $68million (£42.4 million).

The documents also showed that
Britney’s single biggest expense was childcare for her two young sons, which
cost her $304,000 (£189,800). Her personal grooming and wardrobe costs added up
to an eye watering $61,000 (£38,000) and the rest of her personal outgoings
added up to more than $115,000 (£71,800).
