The exclusive W Hotels chain, part of Starwood Hotels, is opening a host of new properties in 2009, including one of its most exotic destinations in Santiago, Chile. This new hotel is located across from Plaza Peru in the center of town and has wonderful views of the Andes. It provides convenient access to both the sea and beaches as well as some of the country’s finest skiing.
In addition to Santiago, W Hotels plans to open new properties in Doha, Qatar; New York City; St. Petersburg, Russia; Barcelona, Spain; Bali; and Puerto Rico. With almost 20 properties in development, other new luxury hotels are planned for London and Manchester, both of which are set to open in 2010.
W Hotels, which bills itself as the fastest growing luxury hotel brand in the world, has recently opened new properties in Hong Kong, Scottsdale, Arizona and Minneapolis, Minnesota. The upscale chain intends to open properties around the world in some of the most intriguing destinations as it expands in the coming years.
