The 2010 year is looking to be a good one for the travel industry in Turkey, according to the latest New Year predictions. With gorgeous Mediterranean beaches that are open year round as well as the beautiful Aegean seafront, Turkey has much to offer and is still a bargain for many travelers.
Some travel agents and websites have seen a tremendous jump in bookings for Turkey, and the seaside resorts are taking a large chunk of that increased traffic. A recent article in the Daily Mail quotes several travel agencies, noting that Turkey is becoming as popular as traditional destinations such as Majorca and Orlando.
Both Thomas Cook and the Co-Operative Travel have reported increases for Turkish travel. Coastal resorts include Antalya, Bodrum, Didim and Kusadasi, among many others. Great beaches, scenery and weather, combined with low prices, make this an ideal holiday destination and real estate hot spot.
