A number of airlines have announced special deals and additional flights for Ramadan. Lufhthansa German Airlines is offering customers a chance to fly from Abu Dhabi or Dubai to 31 destinations in Europe for special pricing. Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates is offering special fares during the month of Ramadan to selected destinations around the world from Kuwait via Abu Dhabi.
Mr. Peter Pollak, General Manager for Lufthansa German Airlines said, “I would like to wish everyone a Happy Ramadan Kareem. Driven by our commitment to the United Arab Emirates, as an added incentive, Lufthansa would like to offer its customers special fares during the Holy month of Ramadan.”
In addition to these promotions, Emirates Airline will operate 47 extra flights from Dubai to Jeddah, in a move aimed at facilitating travel for the millions of pilgrims visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the Holy month of Ramadan. These additional services are available until 15th October and can be accessed by travelers holding a valid Umrah visa.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Gulf, Middle East and Iran said: “The Umrah is a unique spiritual experience for Muslims, and Emirates is glad to be able to facilitate travel arrangements for scores of pilgrims during their special journey, through services in the air and on the ground. Emirates would like to thank the government and authorities in Saudi Arabia for granting it the permission to introduce extra frequencies for Umrah pilgrims.”
