Research conducted by the uSwitch web portal indicates that Spain has the highest quality of life amongst 10 EU countries. The UK-based company specializes in comparing and analyzing data on prices and living costs in England and throughout Europe.
Following Spain were France, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Sweden and Italy. Poland came in seventh with Britain and Ireland finishing up the rankings. The rankings looked at 19 different factors including income, prices, health care, education and weather.
Britain had the highest net income of the countries ranked, but the costs for living in the country were higher than in others as well. British workers have, on average 29 days off a year; the French have 40 days. To top it all off, Great Britain has 80 percent fewer sunny days than Spain and is 17 percent under the average for Europe.
