Just outside of the southern Cyprus city of Limassol is the small village of Souni. Nestled amidst pine forests and at the foot of the island’s mountains, this town is quickly becoming a favorite destination for those who want a home near the city, but also want the beauty and serenity of living in the country. There are a number of new and off-plan developments in Souni that have made it a property hotspot for investors over the past several years.
Kanika Souni Village is one new development that is under construction in Souni. 21 villas and bungalows are set amidst a well-landscaped property with great views of the sea and the mountains. Prices here start from €299,000. Souni Pine Forest is another new development which comprises of two, three and four bedroom detached villas. Each villa has been carefully designed on its own individual large plot included with a private swimming pool. The Compose project’s phase 1 has recently been completed and homes are now available in this new area for resale. A phase 2 is under way with off-plan homes and plots for sale starting at approximately €250,000. Souni is 15km northwest of Limassol and it is said to have the most healthy climate on the island. It is 10 minutes from the unspoilt sandy Curium beach, half an hour from the ski slopes of the Troodos mountains, and 15 minutes from the island’s two most famous five star golf resorts.
Limassol is the island’s largest seaside resort and has a population of around 135,000. The city has a fun loving reputation and the best nightlife on the island as well as some of the island’s best known festivals Limassol offers numerous beaches to choose from as well as an attractive, newly-completed marina equipped with every facility for the yachtsman.
