French property popular with British
French property continues to attract British buyers as it gets easier to access many French regions. Benefitting are the French Ski Resorts and the capital Paris as British buyers look for to own a little bit of France
Properties within easy reach of France’s popular ski resorts have become some of the most sought after in Europe amongst British buyers according to French house hunting expert My-French-House.com.
Improved links between Geneva, Chambery and regional UK airports have seen the French Alps become ever more popular with skiers and accessibility coupled with good availability of properties at reasonable prices has led to a surge in enquiries in the build up to the peak ski season.
Patrick Joseph, owner of My-French-House.com, said he currently had more than 200 Alpine properties available ranging from studio apartments within walking distance of Chamonix to a luxury lodge in the heart of exclusive Megeve.
“With such a wide range of properties in prime locations we are seeing interest from property investors as well as ski enthusiasts looking for somewhere affordable and accessible to use throughout the winter sports season,” he said.
“We are also seeing a number of new build properties coming onto the market in the Rhone-Alpes region for the first time which appeal to buyers looking for low cost, low maintenance and leaseback investment opportunities.”
