The little known Turkish resort town of Ozdere is set to become the country’s next property hotspot, according to industry experts. Turkish citizens are currently snapping up property in this Aegean town between Izmir and Kusadasi. Prices in Ozdere are still well below other popular resort towns, so it is currently a bargain for investors.
Ozdere is located on a long stretch of unspoiled coastline about 30 kilometers northwest of Kusadasi and just 40 kilometers south of Izmir. So far, according to local experts, the area has been overlooked by British and German investors, who form the largest group of foreign property owners and buyers in Turkey.
According to Dominic Whiting, editor of the Buying in Turkey Guide, “’Only a few foreign buyers have discovered the area, which is one of the hidden jewels of the Turkish coast. Property prices are some of the lowest on the entire Turkish coast. It is still possible to buy a well built new apartment with good facilities within five minutes walk of the beach for as little as £36,500.” Whiting was quoted on PropertyWire.com.
Just 35 minutes from the international airport at Izmir, this part of the coast has plenty to offer visitors and homeowners. It is one of the most archealogically significant in the country, with the ancient city of Efesus nearby and many other sites. For buyers, there is plenty to see and do, and great prices make it available right now.
