A new residential resort and marina along the west coast of Costa Rica is under development and offers plenty of great opportunities for those who want an ideal retirement or vacation home in this tropical paradise. The Marina Papagayo is situated within the Papagayo Peninsula residential resort in the Guanacaste Province. The centerpiece of this resort is the new marina, which is now open, and condominiums and village will open in 2011.
The Peninsula Papagayo is one of Costa Rica’s most exclusive developments in one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations, the Guanacaste. There is a Four Seasons resort, beach club, Arnold Palmer designed golf course and a wide range of residences available. Two additional golf courses, including one by Jack Nicklaus, are planned for the resort.
The Marina will have 380 slips and an Italian Riviera-like village. There are plans for restaurants, bars and theatre with loft studios above the shops. Also under construction are townhouses and free-standing villas inland, with plans for a yacht club and hotel with casino. The airport at Liberia, Costa Rica, is about a 30 minute drive from here.
