Seven time Tour de France winner and cancer survivor Lance Armstrong has turned into somewhat of a property collector in recent years. As he and his new team race and train down under getting ready for the upcoming cycling season, the American cyclist is selling one of his Texas properties. The 440 acre ranch, located outside Austin, is on the market for US$12 million.
Located in the Texas Hill Country, the 178 hectare property has a 4,200 square foot home with pool, seven miles of trails and riverfront views. One of the highlights of the beautiful Texas property is the natural swimming hole called Deadman’s Hole. This amazing landmark is where Armstrong would jump off the ledges into the water below as chronicled in his memoir, Every Second Counts, a look at his life after cancer.
Mr. Armstrong has several other properties, including one in Austin proper, and recently purchased a new home in Aspen, Colorado. The $9 million house has five bedrooms and views of the Rocky Mountains, and will be a perfect home for Mr. Armstrong, his girlfriend, Anna Hansen, and the baby they are expecting.
