GaGa set to build $10 million property in Greece
Lady GaGa, real name Stafani
Germanotta, has sold an estimated 23 million albums and 64 million singles
worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
Now, the New Yorker is reportedly
building her ââ¬Ëdream palaceââ¬â¢ in Greece, which will appear to float in the
sea. The 26 year old star bought a
property in Crete in 2010, and the manor is being built on the site of that
home. The total cost for the
project is estimated at $10 million (ã6.37 million).
The Daily Star quoted sources as saying: ââ¬ÅIt’s going to be absolutely
phenomenal when she’s finished with it.
It’s right on the water and appears to be floating, so anyone wanting a
gander will only be able to see it if they go by boat.”
The Poker Face and Bad Romance
star is also planning to have a palace and a church on the land.
The source added: ââ¬ÅBesides the
palace and church, the project will also include a tennis court and two
pools. It has ended up costing
over 10 million for the whole development and that’s only so far. Extra costs
are sure to mount up.ââ¬Â
Two years ago it was rumoured
that the singer was considering getting married on the Greek island with her boyfriend
at the time, Luc Carl.
The Greek Reporter adds: ââ¬ÅThis is not the first time that media have
reported her intentions to have a house on Crete. Many believe she was deeply
affected by Spinalonga, the small island in north eastern Crete that was a leper
colony.ââ¬Â
