The world’s first refrigerated beach is set to be built in Dubai, so now the Emirate can add that to its many architectural wonders. The cooled beach will allow visitors to enjoy the waters off Dubai without having to worry about the hot sand. It is to be constructed next to the Palazzo Versace hotel, which is set to open in late 2009 or early 2010.
Soheil Abedian, president of Palazzo Versace, said: “We will suck the heat out of the sand to keep it cool enough to lie on. This is the kind of luxury that top people want.”
Palazzo Versace is located in Culture Village master development on the edge of Dubai Creek. The hotel will be have 11 floors and the condominiums will have 8 floors. The condos will be part of the hotel so that owners can get all the service that the hotel guests enjoy. There are going to be 213 rooms in the hotel and 169 condominiums in two wings off of the hotel.
Amenities include restaurants, a business center, gym and spa, executive lounge, indoor swimming pool and plenty of outdoor gardens and waterfalls. And, of course, the refrigerated beach to keep any one cool wherever they want to enjoy the Palazzo Versace Dubai.
