Exhibitions Boost Overseas Property Industry

2nd October 2009 LONDON- Today sees the doors opening to the UK’s largest overseas property event “A Place in the Sun Live”  it is billed as the UK’s only dedicated consumer overseas property exhibition, and is taking place at Birmingham’s NEC from 2nd – 4th October 2009. At the same time APITS Ltd who are behind the events announced that London’s Earls Court will be the next venue for another show taking place in March 2010.
 
This year’s show will showcase property in Portugal a UK hot-spot with a new Portuguese Pavilion.The organisers of A Place in the Sun Live have signed an exclusive deal with the Portuguese UK Chamber of Commerce to create a Portuguese Pavilion for its members at October’s show. Portugal is one of the most sought after destinations for UK buyers looking for properties overseas, and this is the first year the country has been given a dedicated focus at the show.
 
The overseas property exhibition has also agreed a partnership deal with the country’s number one property website. They have been promoting the show to Rightmove’s 150,000 users actively seeking overseas properties.

“A Place in the Sun Live is the perfect opportunity for buyers searching for the right overseas property to get the independent advice they need to complete their purchase,” says Andy Bridge, managing director of show organisers APITS Ltd. “Partnering with a brand such as Rightmove enables us to promote the show to an extensive database of active, serious buyers.”

London’s Earls Court will host the overseas property exhibition providing a premium, central London location for exhibitors and visitors alike. The next show will run from Friday 26th March to Sunday 28th March 2010 and aims to offer the largest range of overseas property available to buyers in the UK. Free-to-attend seminar programmes and main stage presentations from Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun presenters will ensure an audience of paying visitors gets insight into where, what and how to buy overseas investment property.

A Place in the Sun Live 2010 will take place in Earls Court II alongside The Ideal Home Show in Earls Court I. “Last year we had over 3,000 people come into A Place in the Sun Live from the Ideal Home Show and they were high-quality visitors,” said APITS MD Andy Bridge. “Admittedly they may be in the early stages of planning to buy property abroad but they are a valuable addition to our core visitor audience.”

Channel 4 will be supporting the 2010 event with a campaign to consumers across Channel 4 peak time, daytime, More4 and C4.com.

The new floor plan for A Place in the Sun Live at Earls Court in March 2010 will be launched at this week’s A Place in the Sun Live at the NEC Birmingham with the 100 plus exhibitors given first opportunity to reserve and book stands for spring 2010.
