UK airline EasyJet recently announced that it was introducing service from Luton to Tel Aviv, Israel and also adding service between Gatwick and Agadir, Morocco. The airline will be the first low-cost airline to fly between the London area and Tel Aviv, and plans to start service in November.
Flights from Luton to Tel Aviv will operate six times a week, every day except Friday. Tickets for the flight will start at £71.99 one way and £102.98 return. From Gatwick to Agadir, prices will start at £32.99 one way and £56.98 return.
“This is a major breakthrough. For the first time the traveling public in the London area has the choice between a high cost traditional airline and a low-cost alternative,” said Andy Harrison, EasyJet’s chief executive.
“We look forward to bringing our unique blend of low fares with friendly service to a whole new market.”
The airline plans to add 23 new routes to its schedule in 2009, and recently announced 15 new routes throughout Europe. Tickets are available at www.easyjet.com.
