The newest star of the hit BBC
series Dragonââ¬â¢s Den has put her
luxury home up for sale as she is spending less and less time at the stunning
Staffordshire property.
With Hilary Devey spending more
time in London and at Pinewood Studios, she has put her home, the King Edward
VII wing of Rangemore Hall near Burton Upon Trent, up for sale with a guide
price of ã2.2 million.
2008 Businesswoman of the Year to sell luxury home
The Staffordshire property was,
quite literally, made for a king.
The extension was built for the Royal visit in 1907 and is adjacent to
Rangemore Hall, home to the brewing family Bass.
The Daily Mail reports that ââ¬ËLord Burton commissioned the extension to
enable the King and his entourage to have space during their stay.ââ¬â¢
The property maintains its
original regal style while also boasting many modern facilities such as a tiled
swimming pool and a sunken spa bath.
It is in private grounds and has gardens of more than nine acres including
two lakes.
Hilary, chief executive of
freight delivery network Pall-Ex which has revenues close to ã100 million,
admitted: ââ¬ÅI have loved Rangemore, but feel that the time is right for a
change.ââ¬Â The entrepreneur will retain
other property in the North and will be looking for another home further south.
Stuart Flint from estate agents
Fisher German, said: ‘The Edward VII wing is a grandly proportioned property of
unique, dramatic and exceptional style, here is an opportunity to own a little
piece of British history.
ââ¬ÅI sold the property to Hilary a
few years ago and she has made some wonderful improvements. I am pleased that
was before the Dragons’ Den fame as I
would have approached the negotiations with some trepidation.ââ¬Â
