For those who have wanted to experience the popular Caribbean Island of Barbados, October offers the perfect time. That is when the Taste of Barbados Food Festival takes place across the island, offering visitors and residents alike some of the finest foods and drinks the country has to offer. The festival runs from October 3rd through the 11th.
This year’s Taste of Barbados will offer not only the best of the island, but also some of the best chef’s from across the world. The festival will begin on Friday, October 3rd at Oistins Bay Gardens in Oistins Fishing Village on the south coast of the island. The following day will see a Bajan Barbeque in Pelican Village as well as celebrity chef Madhur Jeffrey cooking a special dinner. For those who want to see what life in Barbados has for kids, Sunday the 4th is Cook With Your Kids Day.
The rest of the week has daily celebrity chef offerings with such world renowned chefs as the UK’s Claire Clark and Shaun Hill, Barbados’ own Peter Edey, Scott Popovic of the US and Debra Sardinha- Metivier from Trinidad. Other events include special seminars, pastry and sugar tasting and even a rum tour of the island.
The Taste of Barbados offers a great chance to see the island and get a feel for the property market as well.
