The first Caspar Theme Park in the Middle East is set for Dubai. The new park based on the popular cartoon character, Caspar the friendly ghost, is to be located in Dubai Festival Centre and is scheduled for opening in 2010. The Caspar theme park is being launched in collaboration with Kuwait-based Future Kid Entertainmant and Al-Futtaim Real Estate.
The new park will be 6,340 square meters in size and have the Middle East’s largest monorail. The park will also have some of the latest games and rides from around the world, including a spectacular roller coaster. Naturally, a Caspar gift shop will have a collection of souvenirs and toys for visitors.
Festival Centre is set on historic Dubai Creek and has a beautiful marina with some of the Emirate’s most photographed sunset views. It is home to Dubai’s premier concerts and festivals and has over 400 retailers, 60 restaurants, cafes and bistros as well as a 12 screen Grand Festivals Cinemas movie complex. The entertainment center has a range of festivals as well as world class entertainers, including Carlos Santana, Maroon 5, Tamr Hosni and Kylie Minogue.
