The Murdeira Beach Resort is a new development on the island of Sal in the Cape Verde Islands, off the west coast of North Africa. This new project is the most ambitious development on the islands to date and will have some of the nicest homes in the country. The resort is setting the standard for luxury and quality on the island is already being touted as an example for other projects.
Murdeira Beach Resort is currently under construction and will have a host of facilities and amenities for residents and visitors. Several hundred housing units are planned, and there will also be a 75 berth marina, sports facilities, restaurants and a Hilton Hotel. The development will have one and two bedroom apartments, townhouses and luxury villas constructed in a Spanish-Colonial style. Parts of the resort are already open and the Marina Village has a planned completion in 2010.
Sal is one of the more developed of the islands and has one of the two main international airports, Amilcar Cabral International Airport (SID). The climate is tropical and the long white sandy beaches make for an ideal holiday, retirement or investment property. Murdeira Beach Resort is located southwest of the town of Espargos and is just a few kilometers from the airport.
