The Beckham house has splashed out for Christmas,
spending a total of ã35,000 on Christmas trees.
“The best of everything”
The footballer and his family spent extravagant amounts to deck
the halls of their Hertfordshire home with ââ¬Åthe best of everythingââ¬Â. Their
iconic residence, known as Beckingham Palace, now boasts six 10-foot Christmas
trees, each decorated with lavish festive decorations from Fortnum and Mason.
Victoria Beckham reportedly spent ã5,000 on each treeââ¬â¢s
toppings, in addition to a further ã5,000 on decorations for the whole
building.
ââ¬ÅVictoria wanted the best of everything and liaised with the
store directly to organise decorations,ââ¬Â a Fortnum and Mason spokesman told Mirror.co.uk.
ââ¬ÅShe seemed really excited about Christmas, knew what she wanted and was very
specific. She ordered silver and glass decorations only, covering all six of
the trees throughout the main rooms of the house and lots of decorations for the
hallways.ââ¬Â
ââ¬ÅFortnum & Mason had workers in and out of the house
within a day,ââ¬Â they added.
Home for the holidays
David, Victoria, and their children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz
and Harper Beckham were photographed by tabloid newspapers at the weekend while
travelling back to the UK for Christmas. As the family returns home for the
holidays, leaving behind the footballerââ¬â¢s Los Angeles lifestyle, Paris property
agents continue to circle, each hoping to supply Beckham with his rumoured next
house.
Beckham has neither confirmed nor denied reports that he has
been offered a contract with French club Paris Saint Germain. His current deal
with American team LA Galaxy expires shortly, prompting speculation that the
midfielder may make Franceââ¬â¢s capital his future home.
To buy or to let?
“Victoria Beckham visited a luxury townhouse in the
Avenue Montaigne, in the fashion quarter, on the weekend of November 11,”
Marie-Helene Lundgreen, the head of Belles Demeures de France, told the Associated
Foreign Press, while other reports say that PSG have located a school near
the capital for Beckhamââ¬â¢s children.
ââ¬ÅSome agents, however, are counting on the Beckhams renting
first,ââ¬Â adds the AFP.
