For a girl who has lived most of her life in small
apartments and bedsits, Adele’s new home is quite a change of scenery.  The 23 year old singer has recently
taken up residence in a ten bedroom, Grade 2 listed mansion in the Home
Counties at a rent of £15,000 per month.

It’s a far cry from the flat above the This, That and The
Other discount store in West Norwood where the singer lived with her mother
Penny at the start of her career.
However, the multi-award winning singer’s new pad is fit for a pop
princess.

£6 million mansion
the new home of music’s biggest star

The West Sussex estate is set in 25 acres and features both
inside and outside swimming pools along with tennis courts, a self-contained
staff cottage and its own helicopter landing pad.  It also boasts stunning views of the South Downs.

The property sold for £1.8 million in 2004 and is said to be
worth £6 million.  The Daily Mail reports that the red brick
property ‘was built at the end of the 19th century and was originally designed
as an aristocratic family house with its own ballroom.’

The property originally belonged to the wealthy Harvey
family. Their daughter was the first wife of Donald Campbell, who was killed in
1967 while trying to break the world water speed record in Bluebird K7.  It was briefly converted into a convent
in the Seventies where it was extended to include a private chapel.

The six time Grammy award winner has even invited Anderson
Cooper, the doyen of U.S. TV celebrity interviewers, to tour her spectacular
new home.  She is seen cooking
cakes for the American in her huge kitchen and gives Cooper a tour of hew new
