Cave House in Galera, Granada

This cave house has so much potential! It has great outside space – it´s set on a plot size of 1790m2 – and beautiful countryside views and it´s own private access via a gated track. The right side of the garden could be blocked off with a wall giving complete privacy.

Electricity has been connected in the past and needs to be re-connected. Water is connected at present and it needs a septic tank.

It´s north east facing so would get the sunshine in the mornings, ideal during the hot summer months. As it´s a cave house it would be lovely and cool in summer without the need for air con and cosy in winter.

The build size is 178m2 and the attic room is 37m2

You enter into a living room with fireplace and to the right are steps down to a further room with fireplace and smaller storage room.

Opposite the entrance door are two large rooms, one behind the other.

To the left of the living room is a shower room and large room with kitchen area that has a tiled splashback and new cupboards. There is a hallway leading to stairs for the large attic room.

There is also an adjoining area with raw cave rooms leading to a small patio area. The outside cave rooms are where the animals used to be kept.

This cave once reformed could have at least 3 bedrooms and could make a very pretty family home. There´s a garage to the left of the cave.

Riego Nuevo is a small hamlet with no amenities just 5 mins drive from the nearest village of Galera.

Galera is a pretty, historical village which has all the usual amenities including a weekly market and swimming pool open during the summer months.

The nearest airport is 1.5 hours drive away (Granada), followed by Almeria (1h45) , Murcia (2h15) and Alicante (2h30) airports and the coast is around 1h30 drive away although there are beach areas at Lake Negratin which is around 50 minutes drive away.
