The natiional airways of the UK and Spain are set to join to create a super airways. British Airways and Iberia have agreed terms of a £4.3bn merger, creating Europe’s third-largest airline. What are the implications of the deal? The joint company is, for now, called TopCo. Willie Walsh, the proposed chief executive of TopCo, admitted it was not the snazziest of titles and that the company will get a new name over the next year.
