Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas is building a new residential and working community next to the college. The Village at Hendrix will be walkable development that integrates the college and the town and incorporates many traditional aspects of a neighborhood development.
The plan for the Village was created by architects and planners Anders Duany and Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk, who have worked on countless similar projects across the country. It is being constructed in several phases and will have houses, public spaces and businesses all within an easy walking distance of each other and both the college and town.
The homes at the Village will be single family detached houses, townhomes and apartments. The first phase of the project, now under construction, will have 54 houses, 50 townhomes and 60 apartments. A two floor townhome is priced at $209,625 while a 4 bedroom, 2,058 square foot home will cost $265,482. There are several other home types as well, with different sizes and prices.
