This is a unique resort of architect designed homes. luxury homes and facilities not seen before in Portugal.  Bom Sucesso have brought together twenty three of the the most renowned Portuguese and international architects to design different sets of villas or townhouses .Each project is special and unique.

Architect Goncalo Byrne

Gonçalo Byrne, Portuguese Architect

Gonçalo Byrne is responsible for a vast accomplishment of architectural work, and has been awarded with many national and international prizes. He opened his own practice in Lisbon.
1986/88 and was appointed Professor of Architectural Design at the Arvore Cooperative in Porto;
Awards invclude the National Architecture Prize promoted by the order of Portuguese architects and the Ministry of Culture.

His work has been particularly relevant within the heritage and cultural panorama.

As a university professor, recognized in Portugal and abroad, he received, in 2005, the title of Doctor Honoris Causa from the Lisbon Faculty of Architecture, Technical University of Lisbon, and was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Santiago da Espada by the President of the Portuguese Republic.

"Each house consists of two linked cubic structures that intersect at 45º, separating the vertical circulation area and garage from the remainder areas of the house . . . the house is built on two levels: the elevation at street level where the structure is lower, out of sight and containing the accesses; and the ground level so to speak where the two house levels anchor on the land and open to the surroundings."

The architects adhered to a set of rules that provide the formal unity of the project, but which simultaneously enabled them to follow their own original and specific objectives. Most important among these rules and vital for the originality of the resort, was that all rooftops should be covered in greenery and any walls should either be covered in greenery or else simply not exist at all.

With the highest standards of quality of life in mind, nothing was left to chance.
